The data controller in respect of the personal information provided by you is AEGON Scottish Equitable International plc.

This website that you have entered is provided for general information and to provide you with a means of contacting us through email.

Right of access
Under section 4 of the Acts your client has a right to be given a copy of their personal data. If your client wishes to exercise their Right of Access they should write to:

The person making a request should send a letter to the above office. They should also provide means by which we can verify their identity.

Although we have a right to charge up to €6.35, we have made a policy decision to waive this charge. We are obliged to provide a reply to any request as soon as we can but with a maximum period of 40 calendar days.

Right of rectification or erasure
Under section 6 of the Acts, a policyholder has the right to have their personal data corrected, if inaccurate, or erased, if it is deemed that we do not have a legitimate reason for retaining the data. We will not charge for complying with such a request and we shall comply within 40 calendar days of the receipt of such a request.

Extent of data being processed
The only personal data captured will be the email address that you provide. Our Helpdesk may hold your email and their reply on your policy file.

Security
We take our security responsibilities seriously, employing the most appropriate physical and technical measures. Our staff are trained and made aware of these obligations on a regular basis.

Accurate, complete and up to date
To ensure accuracy of the personal data held by us on our systems, we do rely on you informing us whether there have been any changes to the policyholder's circumstances. We endeavor to update our systems and ensure their accuracy.

Adequate, relevant, not excessive
We have a policy to review all data supplied/obtained and delete any which is not necessary, or which is no longer necessary.

Provision of personal data to third parties
We will disclose information to certain bodies where we have a legal obligation to do so, for example to regulatory bodies or authorities such as the United Kingdom's Financial Services Authority or HM Revenue and Customs. We may also be required to disclose information in order to comply with money laundering laws and for other purposes, for example detecting crime. We will also share permitted relevant information with persons acting on your client's behalf.
