1. Products and investments

Risk factors:

  • Benefits are not guaranteed and the value of investments may go down as well as up.
  • Past performance of investments is no guarantee of future performance.
  • Equities and investment bonds are considered long-term investments and are not directly comparable with typical bank or building society accounts where your capital is more secure and can be accessed at any time with little or no penalty.
  • The risk rating for each of our funds is based purely on its risk relative to other funds in our full fund range and not against industry benchmarks.
  • All references to taxation are based on AEGON Scottish Equitable International's understanding of current taxation, law and practice in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. Current legislation and taxation of AEGON Scottish Equitable International's products may change in the future. AEGON Scottish Equitable International does not provide taxation advice on individual circumstances.
  • Smoothing adjustments on our with-profits funds will not be able to counteract the impact of a sustained decline in investment returns.
